We are a family church with great worship and relevant teaching.
Our Sunday Morning Celebration Service caters for the whole family with a special programme for the kids at the Sunday school. Our Church also attracts both the seniors, young adults and the teenagers who enjoy our dynamic programmes specially designed for the different age groups. We also run groups for men, women and home fellowships.

Poem for Mother's day

What is a Mother?

A mother is someone who tucks me in at night
But as I grow older, she nags at me to sleep, to eat right.
We call her Super mum that cooks, cleans and sweeps all night
Putting dust into prison
With her super broom of might.

I'd rather have my mom than anything else in the world
Like a 100 ringgit dress that attracts boys with every twirl
Your ears listen to my wants and needs better than any best friend could
If i had to give up everything for you trust me mom, I would.
But most of all, I need your love,
Your tender caring arms.
So we'd like to say Happy Mothers Day
To all the awesome moms!

Carnival coupons on sale....have you collected yours

Dear Church,

Please collect your carnival coupons at the foyer after service and help to sell to your friends and family members. We have 9 weeks to go and time is running. Each week all of us are to sell at least 650 coupons collectively in order to to reach our target. Every family is encourage to take at least 100 or 150 booklets to promote our carnival event

The committee is working round the clock to organize this event successfully so that we can secure a deposit for a new sanctuary.
We know it is never easy to approach our friends to sell the coupons. However we will never know until we open our mouths to ask and you be surprise to see how positive their responses are. If each day we can sell one coupon,we would have sold 70 coupons by the end of July and as a Church we would have achieve our 7000 booklet sales!

Invite your friends and family members to come and join us. We have a good line up of stalls and games organized on that day. Continue to have faith and believe God can use you as a channel to be His mouthpiece.

Tickets can be collected from Sis. Christine Chew or Sis Fharyl after service

Continue to keep our event in Prayer.
Pray specifically for good weather and turn out on that day. Pray for wisdom for the committee even as they were to discuss every week and plan. Pray for favor so we can achieve our target of rm70000.

God Bless you

Pentecost Sunday 22nd May 2010

Pentecost Sunday is a commemoration and celebration of the receiving of the Holy Spirit by the early church. John the Baptist prophesied of the first Pentecost where Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Matthew 3:11). Jesus confirmed this prophesy with the promise of the Holy Spirit to the disciples in John 14:26. He showed Himself to these men after His death on the cross and His Resurrection, giving convincing proofs that He was alive. Jesus told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Father’s gift of the Holy Spirit, from whom they would receive power to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:3-8). After Jesus’ ascension to heaven, the men returned to Jerusalem and joined together in prayer in an upper room. On the Day of Pentecost, just as promised, a violent wind filled the house and tongues of fire came to rest on each of them and all were filled with the Holy Spirit. They were given the power of communication which Peter used to begin the ministry for which Jesus had prepared him.

The celebration of Pentecost Sunday reminds us that we are all have the unifying Spirit that was poured out upon the first century church in Acts 2:1-4. It is a reminder that we are co-heirs with Christ, to suffer with Him that we may also be glorified with Him; that the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7); that we are all baptized by one Spirit into one body (1 Corinthians 12:13); and that the Spirit which raised Jesus from the dead lives inside believers (Romans 8:9-11). This gift of the Holy Spirit that was promised and given to all believers on the first Pentecost is promised for you and your children and for all who are far off whom the Lord our God will call (Acts 2:39).

So come prepared and DESIRE to be baptized in the Holy Spirit! There will be a special altar ministry tomorrow for the baptism of the Holy Spirit

We look forward to a bigger and better Church premise so that you and your family can worship God freely and bring the older and physically handicap people to the Church without having to climb 2 floors up. Our new sanctuary will be a place were we can host many major events to impact our community and city for Christ.

The tickets are already on sale. Every member young or old is encourage to take the tickets and sell them to our family and friends. Spread the word around about our event. Flyers will be made available soon.
Your active participation is very much appreciated to make this event a success. We target to raise rm70,000. And the total number of coupons we have is 7000 booklets.

Every family is encourage to take as many booklets as possible to sell.
Each coupon is only rm10
.

We averagely need to sell 600 coupons per week as we have another 10 weeks to go. 800 booklets have been taken up as of last week by our Senior Pastor and the committee. We also sold 63 coupons at the Mother's day dinner.
Do not delay but act fast. Grab your tickets at the foyer after service this week from Sis. Fharyl or Sis. Christine Chew.

If each of us would try to sell 5 to 10 coupons a week or even 1 coupon a day we can hit our sales target of 7000 booklets by July. Approach your family members first, then your friends and then your neighbors. You will be surprise to see their support towards you. Grab a note book and make a list of all the names of the friends you wish to invite for our event....follow up by a call. Pray before you sell for positive respond. God will honor your service.

Continue to uphold this event in your quiet time and pray specifically for the sales of the coupons, sales of food, team work, preparation, good weather, wisdom, protection and success.

God bless you and strengthen you as you give your wholehearted support towards the event and avail yourself to cook and mend the stalls.

This month we celebrate Mothers!

This May we celebrate Mothers..........

We have invited Sis. Elsie Seevaratnam from Penang to minister God's Word to us.

Come celebrate and bring your moms or grandmothers along for this Sunday Celebration Service on the 9th of May at 10.30am at the Main Sanctuary
It will be a Bilingual Service...

To all mother's of GTSA..

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,Align Center
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
