This Sunday we celebrate the anniversary of the outpouring of God's precious Holy Spirit upon His waiting, expecting church. Today is PENTECOST SUNDAY! This event marks the historical beginning of the Church!
Pentecost Sunday is the celebration of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Early Church believers. The second chapter of Acts records how the believers, in response to the command of Jesus, had remained in Jerusalem waiting for the power from on high that He had promised. Christ's fulfillment of that promise came 50 days following His resurrection. The believers were baptized in the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, they were also granted the gifts of the Holy Spirit and were filled with tongues. Those gifts helped them to fulfill their mission to preach the Gospel to all nations and experienced the power accompanying the Spirit's outpouring.
We invite you to come join us for our Combined Sunday Celebration Service with Rev. John Ezekiel ,for an exciting time of worship as we celebrate the power of Pentecost at 10.30am, 31st May 2009
